Elementics Safety & Responsibility Principles

At Elementics, our mission is to accelerate scientific discovery in chemistry and materials science through AI-assisted reasoning. We believe that powerful research tools must be developed and deployed responsibly, with appropriate safeguards to ensure that innovation advances human knowledge while minimizing the risk of misuse.

These Safety & Responsibility Principles describe our general approach to responsible use of the Elementics Reactor Platform ("REACTOR").

Quick Navigation

1

Human-Centric Scientific Integrity

Principle

Scientific discovery requires human judgment, domain expertise, and real-world validation.

Our Approach

Reactor is designed to augment human reasoning, exploration, and analysis, not to replace scientific judgment, laboratory experimentation, safety review, regulatory assessment, or professional oversight. Outputs generated by the platform are intended to support structured thinking and hypothesis development and must be independently evaluated, validated, and applied by qualified professionals before any real-world use.

We encourage a "human-in-the-loop" approach for all research workflows supported by Reactor.

2

Responsible Use and Physical Safety

Principle

Advanced scientific reasoning tools carry a responsibility to reduce the risk of misuse and harm.

Our Approach

Elementics does not permit the use of its Services for unlawful, hazardous, or harmful purposes, including activities related to the development, synthesis, or deployment of prohibited or controlled substances, weapons, or other applications that pose a reasonably foreseeable risk to people, property, or the environment.

We maintain and evolve internal safety guardrails and acceptable-use restrictions designed to promote lawful and responsible scientific research, consistent with applicable laws, regulations, and widely accepted safety and non-proliferation standards.

3

Responsible Platform Security and Integrity

Principle

Trust in scientific infrastructure depends on protecting platform integrity and preventing abuse.

Our Approach

Elementics restricts attempts to misuse, probe, reverse engineer, or compromise the Services, including adversarial testing intended to extract proprietary system behavior or undermine platform safeguards. We reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate action where use of the Services presents security, safety, or legal risks.

4

Responsible Data Stewardship

Principle

Researchers' intellectual property and sensitive research substance deserve strong protection.

Our Approach

Elementics' data practices are designed to respect customer ownership and control of scientific and research content. For paid plans, Customer Research Content and Outputs are not used to train or improve Elementics' models, as described in our Terms of Service. Platform improvement focuses on non-scientific, non-semantic usage and operational data, rather than on the scientific or technical substance of customer research.

5

Continuous Improvement and Accountability

Principle

Responsible AI systems must evolve alongside scientific, regulatory, and societal expectations.

Our Approach

We continuously review and refine our internal policies, safeguards, and practices as our platform, customer base, and applicable standards evolve. We welcome feedback from the scientific community, customers, and partners to help guide the responsible development and deployment of our technology.
